Christmas 2006

This year has just flown by. It just seemed like yesterday when I was working in Kuwait and traveling the Middle East. I am happy to be home this year. Sarah’s folks and siblings came over to celebrate Christmas day with us. I had some of the best bone-in ham with orange glaze whipped up by Sarah. She put a tremendous effort in preparing a great meal.

Update Pre-Xmas 2006

Well, as usual I have not gotten around to posting any “new” stuff on the blog. My excuse is WoW. No really. That game has taken on a life of its own. Sarah has now “gotten” in to the game and is trying to level her warlock character.

On to real news. As many of you already know by now I have been involuntarily recalled to active duty. From what I have gathered so far is that I will deploying with a Signal unit from Puerto Rico. Time line is around the summer of 2007. The USAR at least gave me sometime to workout the details with the family and my employer.

I have had a few folks ask if I am nervous about going back. Hello?!? Of course I am nervous. Who wouldn’t be? The possibility of dying is something not to be taken lightly. All of that aside I am looking forward to getting an opportunity to serve my country, again.  Once the deployment time is closer I will have more updates.
Christmas is now only a few weeks away. I think that Sarah has completed the majority of the shopping so that is good. I already bought her gift and she has been sporting her new COACH purse for a few weeks now.

I hope that everyone will have a safe holiday season.
