honeymoon in maui

We have been back now 2 days and wished that we were still in Maui. The sum up our week in Maui in a single word is difficult but I would say that it was incredible. First of, I got to spend some quality time with my wife and work was not to intrusive. I did have to answer some ‘hot’ emails. In total we spent 5 nights in Maui. Each day was packed with activities. The only disappointment for me was the food. I expected to be wowed by the island cuisine but was left a bit short. The weather was in the mid 70’s and a tad bit windy but then again it is winter in Hawaii. On the way over we flew United economy plus which actually is very comfortable. I just don’t get the whole “buy” your lunch box deal. I guess the days of when the airlines fed you in economy class are long gone. On the way back Sarah and I upgraded to First Class. Talk about feeling like it was economy plus. First we didn’t get any type of real food…some fruit and a cookie does not equate to real food. The seats did not recline all the way back. Talk about a rip off. Oh well, we won’t ever do an upgrade like that again.
The photos of Maui are slowly being posted and you can see some of them now.
